About Music Notation

Lessonator™ supports musical scores made of groups of staves in standard and tablature forms. By default a single group of two staves is created with staves that are the most appropriate for the slide’s instrument:

  • Keyboard

    • Staff 1 – Standard Treble

    • Staff 2 – Standard Bass

    • The two staves are independent o one another.

  • Guitar

    • Staff 1 – Standard Treble

    • Staff 2 – Guitar Tablature

    • The two staves are linked: notes added to one is reflected on the other. Looks similar to GuitarPro.

  • Bass

    • Staff 1 – Standard Treble

    • Staff 2 – Bass Tablature

    • The two staves are linked: notes added to one is reflected on the other. Looks similar to GuitarPro.

The following diagram illustrates the relationship between staff groups and staves.

The active staff group is drawn in the slide’s notation cell, which is usually created by default when using one of the non-title slide templates.
